It would be nice to have a feature, that would disable drawing Hoard Coffer circles where potential traps are.
Would result in a bit slower, but safer Hoard Coffer hunt.

It's not a bad suggestion in and of itself, but... it's hard to tell if it is a helpful thing to add.

I have the theory that all locations are used for both traps and hoard coffers. Purely for the number of traps vs. number of hoard coffers found, a lot of often-frequented floors have nearly identical numbers. It's possible that -some- few hoard locations have no discovered trap in the same spot -- but that doesn't mean they don't exist, just that they weren't found yet. But still, I find it very telling that the numbers are very very close for a lot of floors, see the list below.

I have other theories that I'd like to test first, which would (if successful) solve this issue along the way -- but that will unfortunately take some time before they're (a) implemented and (b) have results. If enough people want this to be supported meanwhile, I'm not entirely opposed to adding it as a temporary solution, but that would need more people asking for it to be added (for a feature that, in the best case, gets removed later).

I'll leave this open - if more people want this feature to be added, feel free to leave a comment.

for PotD

  • 1-10 has 190 traps, 199 hoard coffers found
  • 11-21 is a bit of an outlier, with a difference of 20 between traps and hoard coffers (175 vs 195)
  • 21-30 has 220 traps, 221 hoard coffers found
  • 31-40 has 281 traps, 285 hoard coffers found
  • 41-50 has 300 traps, 296 hoard coffers found
  • 51-60 has 324 traps, 320 hoard coffers found
  • 61-70 has 276 traps, 279 hoard coffers found
  • 71-80 has 279 traps, 280 hoard coffers found
  • 81-90 has 233 traps, 244 hoard coffers found
  • 91-100 has 238 traps, 232 hoard coffers found

The higher floors have a tiny bit of a higher difference (under 20 for most of them), and the largest differences is with 181-190 and 191-200, but I assume that's both due a combination of fewer runs going as far and less people saving intuition until that late.

For HoH

  • 1-10 is a bit of an outlier, with 325 traps/287 hoard coffers
  • all floors from 11-80 have a difference of less than 20 between traps & hoard coffers (some even have identical numbers)
  • 81-90 has 242 traps, 210 hoard coffers found (I assume people would've collected plat sacks on 71-80)
  • 91-100 has 293 traps, 208 hoard coffers found
